This event was originally scheduled for 3/8/2008 but was cancelled due to blizzard conditions on said day across the state of Ohio. So on 3/30/2008 The Inspirations and The McKameys came back to the Fisher Auditorium in Wooster Ohio for a rescheduled appearance. We are so glad they did! This rescheduled event made for a tightly scheduled day however. We loved it. We attended our 10 AM Sunday School Service and 11 AM Worship Service as usual. We then hopped into the car and headed off to Wooster and arrived there at about 1:40 PM. We were able to speak to members of The Inspirations and The McKameys prior to them singing, purchase some of their items and then enjoyed 45 minutes of Southern Gospel Music by each group. Our cut off time to leave was 4:15 PM. We did just that. We were able to get back to our church by about 5:30 PM and were in time for our 6 PM Evening Service. We had a day filled with teaching, preaching and gospel music. March 30, 2008 was a great day! Glory to GOD!

The Inspirations

The Inspirations
We saw The Inspirations in person for the first time 2 years ago, March of 2006, at the Fisher Auditorium in Wooster Ohio. Eight of us went from our church. Last year 12 of us went from our church. This year was to be even better. We had planned for 35 of us to ride a church bus from Beacon Baptist Church for this event but weather did not permit it. I'd love to grow this till we are able to have The Inspirations at our own church.
Whenever The Inspirations are in Ohio or a neighboring state we make a real effort to go see them. Why all the fuss? I'm glad you asked. ;o)~
Have you ever listened to them sing? The words of their songs speak right to your heart. The words of their songs lift up the name of Jesus. Their songs speak to the lost, the backslidden, and to those living the abundant Christian life. Their songs make much of the Word of God and the God of the Word. They don't accentuate "the beat". They don't accentuate the flesh. Their music is not of a carnal nature as is so much of today's so-called Christian music. These fellows walk what they talk and the fact that they are God fearing Christians is evident on and off the stage. The first time I met them I told Mike Holcomb what an impression they (The Inspirations) have left on my life. I told him that shortly after I was saved that my Youth Director introduced me to their music on cassette and LP. Mike Holcomb had the most sincere and most humble response. He said "pray for us". These men are for real and their love for the Lord Jesus Christ just pours out from them.
